Brendan Keefe goes to CBS46; Atlanta Dog in Hulu’s “Prey”; Kenan Thompson’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Keefe’s multi-year investigation uncovering critical failures in the nation’s 911 system has prompted vital changes to emergency response protocols across the country and in Georgia, the state has created a new agency to oversee funding for the 911 as a result of his work.

At Tegna-owned 11Alive, Keefe was also a lead instructor for multimedia journalists at other Tegna stations.

Keefe, before coming to Atlanta in 2014, worked at television stations in Houston and New York.

Coco, a rescue dog featured in the “Predator” prequel “Prey” just released on Hulu, came of Fulton County Animal Services.

“Prey” centers on a Comanche warrior Naru (Amber Midthunder) and her canine companion, Sarii, played by Coco. As Naru battles against a deadly alien threat, Sarii is at his side to help.

On social media, the shelter wrote “We are SO thrilled that Coco has found the life she has and is now shining a light on the potential of shelter dogs and what they are capable of – when given a chance. “

The shelter took care of Coco, an American dingo or Caroline’s dog, in 2021, and she was adopted specifically for the film. While most dogs in movies have been trained for years, Coco had to learn to act from scratch.

“Prey” ddirector Dan Trachtenberg told the Dexerto website that Coco was “super rambunctious. Very energetic. Always a biting moment for us on set, ‘Is Coco going to love it and make her mark and do what she has to do?’ It was sometimes a journey to get there, but ultimately she always made it. It was very exciting, lots of cheering when we finally got a good grip with Coco.

He gave Coco more to do as production on the film progressed: “We were trying to get Coco out of the scenes but the opposite ended up being true, and we ended up including her more – even in some of the action sets, because I just thought it would be so much fun.
