Can you give Spirit his furry home? This Animated Newcastle Dog Hasn’t Received Any Nominations Yet

An Akita cross, who has lived at the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter since April 2022, patiently awaits his fur home.

Spirit is about six years old and despite the shelter’s attempts, no one has yet asked to take him in.

The shelter team has taken care of him since his arrival and have found in him a real character, always happy to see you, lively and intelligent.

He enjoys spending time with humans, but is just as happy doing his own thing.

He is strong and bouncy, so his new owners will need to be able to handle his strength.

He can live with children over 16 and another dog, but he cannot live with cats and small animals.

Shelter staff said: “Spirit is a lively and intelligent boy, so he needs an active home with owners who can provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation to keep his body and mind healthy!”

Anyone interested in giving Spirit their forever furry home can apply through the shelter. website.
