The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. It’s Captain’s Choice (Scramble) and there will be contest holes. The big tournament will be played on the River Course and the Plantation Course. For a fun touch, after registration closes, course selections will be made for each participating team by the Heritage Humane Society pups.

Players can stay full and hydrated with a continental breakfast provided by Flavorsbuffet lunch, ice cold beer sponsored by Noah’s Ark Veterinary Hospital and dessert offered by Edward Jones – Financial Advisor: Antonija Simpson.

“At Chesapeake Bank, ‘It’s All About Community’ isn’t just a tagline or slogan. It’s who we are. And we are very proud of our long history of supporting the Heritage Humane Society, which is a vital part of our community,” shares Tucker Edmunds, Mortgage Officer, VP Presenting Sponsor, Chesapeake Bank. “We hope you all come to Make Par for Pets to support this amazing organization.”

New this year, people are invited to buy raffle tickets online before the tournament. Raffle sales will open in August and winners will be drawn on the day of the tournament during the lunch prize giving ceremony. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

Ace Guaranteed

The Heritage Humane Society guarantees that every player will earn an “ace” knowing that their efforts will go directly to supporting the homeless pets of the Heritage Humane Society. Each year, an average of 1,500 homeless animals are cared for at the shelter and another 1,200 local animals are cared for through its Kibble Kitchen & Beyond, a community outreach program that keeps animals with their families.

Make Par for Pets Golf Classic is organized by the Heritage Humane Society Auxiliary, or HHS Auxiliary. There are currently 60 HHS Auxiliary Members and new members are welcome. They meet the second Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m. in the Heritage Humane Society classroom.
