Longtime dog at Indiana shelter hopes to reunite with her forever family

Each week we share with you one of the many animals currently in the wonderful care of Vanderburgh Humane Society staff and volunteers who are looking for their forever home. This week, we present to you our Mercy, our VHS Pet of the Week.

Here is Mercy’s story:

Oh, pity me, why am I still here? Actually, my name is Mercy and I’ve been on VHS for 137 days!! I don’t know why, because I tick all the boxes – Loves people, likes other dogs, gentle and adventurous. And have you seen my zooms?! I’m, like, REALLY fast and I’m almost flying through the air when I’m zooming around the yard. I love participating in Cardio for Canines and would thrive in a home that allows me to do my daily exercise. My adoption fee is $150 and includes my sterilization, my microchip and my vaccinations. What are you waiting for? Come meet me at the Vanderburgh Humane Society today!

If Mercy seems like a perfect match for your family, contact the VHS at 812-426-2563 to schedule a time when you can meet her in person. If you have already made up your mind and have decided to bring him into the family, you can save time by completing some of the adoption paperwork online through the VHS website.
