The Flash star bonds with a dog in an actual Netflix movie

The first true story trailer has just been released, ahead of the film hitting the streaming service on March 17.

Gustin stars as State Trooper Dan who, according to the Netflix synopsis, dreams of joining the K-9 Search & Rescue team but no one will give him the opportunity.


Meanwhile, shelter dog Ruby dreams of having a forever home, but she loses hope.

When fate brings them together, their unbreakable bond helps them through the toughest challenge yet.

In the trailer, Dan is seen meeting Ruby for the first time at the shelter, where she has already visited seven homes.

While Ruby is a handful, Dan is up for the challenge and proclaims that Ruby will become the first shelter dog on the K-9 team, even though no one believes him.

Saved by Ruby is led by Katt Shea, who previously directed Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase.

The screenplay was written by An unforgettable walk writer Karen Janszen and is based on the short stories, Ruby: A Winking Story and Winking Ruby.

Meanwhile, in January, a new trailer was released for The Flash’s season 8B which will air next month.

It was recently revealed that the second half of season eight will see the return of Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawn, but he may not be as fans remember him.

Speaking about Rick’s return, showrunner Eric Wallace teased, “Rick has been such a fantastic part of our shine family since the first season.

“And we’ve been looking for ways to bring him back to the show ever since. Fortunately, we’ve been able to do that now in season eight.

“Rick was fantastic in bringing an exciting new side to his portrayal of Eddie Thawne that honors the character’s past but also takes him somewhere unexpected.”
