Almost all pet parents spoil their dog in some way. Most pets probably deserve the overkill for the endless amounts of love they give their owners. But there are certain breeds that are pampered as well as the wealthiest humans.
To compile a list of dog breeds most likely to be spoiled in each state, 24/7 Tempo looked at a new study from personalized pet gift store Yappy.com. The site analyzed more than 300 popular breeds and more than 5,000 individual animal profiles to identify the opulent puppies in all but two states across the country. Data for Hawaii and Alaska were not available.
The most spoiled dog in the United States as a whole is the Dobermann. The breed is known to be loyal, fearless, and among the most protective in the United States, according to the American Kennel Club, the country’s purebred dog registry.
Although this noble breed is most likely to be lavished with treats and gifts by Dobermann owners nationwide, it only tops the list as the most spoiled dog in three states. Another breed – the Shetland Sheepdog – tops the list in four states, more than any other breed. The Whippet and the Great Dane also take on three states each.
Dogs are the most popular pets in America. Nearly 50 million households have at least one — these are the states with the most dogs as pets.
