Watch: Construction workers use shovel to save dog from drowning

Animal Rescue Videos create some of the healthiest content on social media. A video in which construction workers use their excavator to save a dog from drowning goes viral.

As reported by the Daily Mail, a group of builders in Pasaje Canton, a town in Ecuador, received a radio alert that a dog had been swept away by fast-moving water in a canal near them.

Construction workers quickly used the resources they had and worked together to save the dog. In the viral rescue video, a builder is seen sitting in the shovel of a backhoe and hovering above gushing water. Soon, he sees the dog running through the water towards him. Using his quick reflexes, the construction worker manages to grab the dog while keeping his balance and pulls the dog onto his lap. Both are then taken to safety.

The undated video of his epic rescue act was posted online by popular Twitter user Tansu YEĞEN (@TansuYegen) on Monday. It has garnered over 2.1 million views so far.

One Twitter user commented, β€œWhat a backup! A great guy and a lucky dog. Long live you two.

Another user remarked, β€œBless this man! He could have been swept away too, but he selflessly saved this dog despite that! Is it weird that I think men who do stuff like that are REALLY attractive? Lol”.
